This specialized testing system is engineered to assess the mechanical robustness of electric vehicle charging cable assemblies, focusing on connector retention strength and rotational resistance during operation. Built to comply with the tensile and torque evaluation requirements of theIEC 61851-23: 2023, figure 111 standard for EV charging infrastructure, it provides repeatable and accurate measurements that support quality assurance and certification testing.

 

Testing Capabilities

Cable Anchorage Strength Evaluation
Measures the ability of the charging cable and plug connection to resist axial pull forces under controlled loading conditions.

Twist Resistance Assessment
Applies rotational loads to simulate torque stresses that may occur during repeated handling, ensuring connector integrity throughout service life.

Preset Test Cycles & Duration
Users can configure test repetition count and torque application duration to simulate extended usage scenarios.

 

Design & Operation

Motor-Driven Load Application
Pull force is generated through an electric drive mechanism, which translates motor motion into linear tension on the cable assembly for consistent force application.

Torque Load Delivery
The torque component is applied using calibrated weights coupled with a lever arm, ensuring precise torsional stress according to predefined settings.

Control System
An automated control unit manages test execution with programmable settings for cycle count and loading durations.
