ISO5151 25RT Air Conditioner Air Enthalpy difference Test Lab
System Overview
This 25RT enthalpy difference water system test laboratory project consists of two rooms (one indoor and one outdoor), two sets of air-side enthalpy difference devices, and one constant temperature water system, capable of testing prototypes with a maximum capacity of 25RT. The two indoor wind tunnels can operate simultaneously to meet the testing requirements of VRF multi-split systems. A refrigerant mass flow meter is also provided to meet AHRI calibration experiments.
The indoor side of this test laboratory is equipped with a system for testing operating conditions and enthalpy difference airflow. Using the enthalpy difference method, it can measure and control the temperature and humidity of the laboratory environment. It can perform cooling and heating capacity tests, as well as various operating condition tests, on air-cooled chillers (heat pumps), ordinary residential and commercial air conditioners, and VRF prototypes. System pressure, operating temperature distribution of various components, electrical performance, and electrical parameter data sampling and analysis are also included.
(1) Equipped with safety testing functions for flammable refrigerants R32 and R454B, automatic alarm for R32 and R454B leaks, automatic forced ventilation function, and all electrical components in the test laboratory are explosion-proof.
(2) The outdoor area of the laboratory is designed for low temperature, with a minimum temperature of -35℃ and a maximum temperature of 65℃. Meanwhile, the laboratory is equipped with a constant temperature water system for conventional water, which can meet the performance testing requirements of air-cooled chiller (heat pump) units.
Applied Standards
Design and testing according to the following standards:
► ISO5151
► ARI 210/240-2005
► AHIR 340/360-2007

Test Items
This laboratory is used for type testing of household air conditioners and should be able to provide the following stable test environment conditions:
(1) Rated cooling (T1, T2, T3 conditions);
(2) Heat pump heating (high temperature, low temperature, ultra-low temperature);
(3) Rated heating;
(4) Maximum operating cooling (T1, T2, T3 conditions);
(5) Minimum operating cooling;
(6) Maximum operating heating of the heat pump;
(7) Minimum operating heating of the heat pump;
(8) Condensation and condensate removal;
(9) Freezing (T1, T2, T3 conditions);
(10) Automatic defrosting;
(11) Air volume and static pressure;
(12) Defrosting under special conditions;
Any operating condition can be set within the range of indoor DB: 0~50℃, RH: 30~95%; outdoor DB: -35~60℃, RH: 30~95%. (The specific temperature and humidity combination should not differ significantly from the operating condition combination in the relevant standards.) Note: During the test, the wind speed around the tested sample should not exceed 2m/s.
